GFM ClearComms was recognised at this year’s Institute of Promotional Marketing (IPM) COGS Awards, winning two of the prizes on offer for our work on The Sun ‘Superdays’ campaigns. The award winners were announced on September 22nd at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London, an event hosted by comedian and television personality Tom Allen and overseen by IPM Chairman John Sylvester.
The IPM COGS Awards are an industry-wide competition that celebrates the huge contribution made by marketing service providers to the success of promotional campaigns. This year the level of competition was particularly high with an unprecedented number of entrants for the fourteen award categories available. A wide range of criteria are taken into consideration by the judging panel when determining category winners including: execution, hitting targets and adding value to clients.
Our first success of the day came in the ‘Coupons’ category where we picked up a silver award for the innovative way that we created, delivered and managed the ‘Superdays’ coupons process; including both physical and on-line redemptions for readers of the British newspaper, which totalled over 350,000 applications. Following on from this success the ‘Superdays’ campaigns were then also adjudged to be the winner of a silver award for the ‘Digital’ category. This award specifically focuses on recognising organisations that demonstrate the absolute best work through the use of online services; which for this campaign related to the creation of a bespoke online booking system that enabled customers to effectively, securely and reliably choose their preferred ticket dates.
Jigg’s O’Sullivan, Head of GFM ClearComms, was in attendance at the event and expressed his delight with the company’s success on the day, “We are always delighted when our campaigns are recognised by the IPM, which serves as an industry benchmark for excellence and best practice when it comes to promotional marketing. This success is a testament to the hard work performed by everybody involved at GFM ClearComms and also highlights the strength of our offering by being able to deliver end-to-end promotional marketing services.”
