September 26, 2017 11:12 am

In honour of Jeans for Genes Day, which took place on September 22nd, the staff at GFM wore their favourite denim attire and took part in numerous fun-filled competitions that helped raise £287.32 for the national charity which supports individuals and families affected by genetic disorders.

Great GFM Bake Off

All office staff were welcomed to work on the day with various blue themed treats and drinks that had been kindly created and donated by staff before the commencement of the fundraising activities, which included a denim quiz, prize raffle and guess the number of sweets in a jar challenge. In the afternoon employees took part in the ‘Great GFM Bake Off’ with elected judges from each department deciding the winning entries having had the pleasure to sample them all. Afterwards employees were able to indulge in the many cakes brought in by staff, again with all donations going to Jeans for Genes.

Reflecting on the day Jiggs O’Sullivan, Head of GFM ClearComms, said: “Supporting Jeans for Genes Day is a real tradition here at GFM and something we all look forward to. It is brilliant to see how much effort all the staff put in each and every year to help raise crucial funds to support such a great charity; and this year was definitely no exception.”
